Looking for the Best

Led by founder, Scott Martin, Blue Plum has been a leader in Bay Area's transformation to modern kitchen design.

 

While working with the top Bay Area designers and architects, Scott is constantly asked if he knew of any closet systems that had modern features yet were affordable.

 

In a quest to find the best, Scott discovered Pianca. After traveling to Italy and seeing their manufacturing plants, meeting the leaders, and experiencing the quality, he knew his clients were going to love it.

PIANCA'S JOURNEY

Pianca has been creating custom closet systems and occasional furniture for bedrooms and living rooms for over 65 years.

​

They have been a non-stop participant in the Salone del Mobile (Furniture Fair) in Milan since its beginning in 1961. 

Pianca's Journey (So Far)

1956

PIanca starts producing bedroom and living room sets. 

Founded by Enrico Pianca, Pianca went from being an artisan workshop to an industrial company in 1956. Bedrooms and living rooms started being produced.

1961

FIRST MAJOR SHOW

Due to its awareness of the role design plays in furniture, Pianca participated in the first Salone del Mobile (Furniture Fair): the company has not missed a fair ever since.
